The game board is not the only place to experience the world of Warhammer 40,000. This year at SPIEL Essen, the lines between game and reality blur! Games Workshop and SPIEL invite you to an extraordinary laser tag experience right at the show.

Grab a bolter, feel the weight of the weapon in your hands, and face the challenge in a breathtaking arena created specifically for this event. Whether you are a Space Marine fan or an action junkie, this is your chance to become part of your very own Warhammer 40,000: Kill Team!

Your Mission Awaits

Immerse yourself in a world of pulsating light, intense sound effects, and thrilling action. In our large, elaborately staged arena in Hall Europa (CC West), you will experience the Warhammer universe closer than ever before. This is your chance to gain the upper hand with your team—teamwork, speed, and a cool head will decide between victory and defeat.

Mission Details

  • Ticket Check: Secure your slot in the SPIEL ticket shop (as an add-on option to your fair ticket).
  • Team Mode: Exciting 12 vs. 12 matches—you can sign up as a full team or play with new people.
  • Price: €25 per person, per mission.
  • Equipment: We provide bolter replicas that are every bit as impressive as the legendary weapons from the tabletop game.
  • Duration: The experience lasts approximately 30 minutes (including briefing).
  • Language: You will receive a captivating and concise briefing in English.

Important Mission Briefing

To ensure everything runs smoothly, please note the following:

  • Punctuality:
    • Please arrive 10–15 minutes before your booked time slot. Late admission is unfortunately not possible.
  • Safety:
    • The arena features flashing lights and loud sounds. 
    • Please only participate if you are physically fit for laser tag. 
    • The minimum age is 13, as the equipment is too heavy and unwieldy for younger players.
  • Preparation:
    • You can safely store bags and personal items in the event's preparation area.
  • Directions:
    • You can find the Warhammer 40,000: Kill Team LIVE! Laser Tag in the Conference Center West (CC West). In Foyer West, in front of Hall 3, take the escalator directly to the entrance and preparation area for the laser tag event.
