CATAN - CONNECT will be the largest live game of CATAN ever organized! For one evening, we're transforming the Grugahalle in Essen into a gigantic island world. Whether you're a long-time CATAN fan or curious about the new event game CATAN – Connect, this event is a must for everyone who loves CATAN!

THE CATAN - CONNECT EVENT TAKES PLACE ON FRIDAY, OCTOBER 24, 2025, STARTING AT 5 PM IN THE GRUGAHALLE, DIRECTLY NEXT TO THE EXHIBITION CENTER.

What to Expect as a Player:

  1. Play in the world's largest CATAN game: Join over 1,100 other CATAN fans on a giant CATAN island world – and the best part: we'll set a new world record together!
  2. Exciting Live Interviews and Stories: Look forward to fascinating background stories, insights, and interviews from the world of CATAN – directly from the minds behind the game.
  3. Exclusive Goodie Bag for all Participants: Get ready for awesome CATAN surprises – exclusively for everyone who plays along.

    Want to experience the event but only as a spectator?

    1. That's no problem. You can also attend as a spectator for the big world record attempt and experience the stage show.
